holding thai pads
-don't hold it down so low like i'm bending over. just keep it close to my body.
-turn a little to the side you want them to kick
-maybe throw a few punches before the desired combo for them to block
-the combo we did was 2 left body kicks. every once in a while add a right body kick to the front
kicks
-he said just kick from your stance, don't step fwd/out/whatever or you will telegraph. if you need to close the distance first, then step in with your stance to close the distance then throw from there
lead kicks
-he said it's important to get good and lead kick
knee
-i don't get it but youre supposed to drive your hip fwd so your knee is like a spear
-on the heavy bag, he just had me knee to the diagnoal side and step through / penetrate without hitting the bag
my kicks i see on video
-i need to work more on turning my hips over. most of my kicks looked like the kick equivalent of an "arm" punch
