different angles of kicks

from some video i watched a while ago but couldn't find again

low kick can be
1. downward chop
2. 45 angle up

kick to body
1. 45 degree up
2. straight through / horizontal

kick to head
-goes over their shoulder then chops down (like swinging leg over the fence motion we did in class)

man, if i had known this from the beginning i wouldn't have struggled so much in class

using lead leg for defense/counters

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVdZEQ2YQFw
Muay Thai 5 Essential Counters using the Lead leg Tutorial

1. left kick when he steps in from out of range into range
-it's an inside leg kick
-kick might not deter him so you need to follow up, like with a right kick

2. left kick to the body when he steps in from out of range with a left or right punch
-if he jabs, it's a kick to his torso (cuz the way he's turned if proper form)
-if he throws a cross, it's a kick to the side/back ribs
-he leans back w kick to a) generate power and b) get out of range of punch

3. left high kick when he steps in from out of range with jab or cross
-if he jabs, the kick would disable his cross cuz its landing across his arm as its by his face
-also lean back as in #2 above (kick to body)

4. teep to the thigh if he tries to roundhouse kick you
-note: there was another vid that says to do a lead teep to whichever leg he tries to kick with

5. teep to stomach if he tries to roundhouse kick or punch you

seems like its basically left kick if he's out of range, teep if he's in range

i want to try to teep more as a counter to kicks and punches
